A major accountancy practice suffered significant losses, inconvenience and indeed corporate embarrassment due to the theft of multiple laptops. The thefts were occurring over 3 sites but without consistent trends being established.

12 covert cameras were installed and monitored.

A laptop which had a discreet covert tracker (with GPS and RF capability)  installed was then left in an area thought to be at risk.

During a live operation the laptop was stolen and tracked to the thief's house. On searching the property the Police recovered a further 8 laptops gained from the previous thefts.

The evidence gained assisted in a successful prosecution and the lessons learnt assisted the business to protect itself to a greater level.
